BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (November 28, 2012) - The
postseason honors continue to pile on for juniors Megan Hodges and
Camille Indest as they were named to the 2012 Daktronics All-South
Region Team. Indest was named to the first team while Hodges
collected second team honors.
Picking up her first Daktronics award and third overall, Indest
was named a first team selection after leading the Tars to an 18-14
overall record and their third straight postseason appearance. She
averaged 3.15 kills per set, which was second-best on the team but
boasted a team-high .319 hitting percentage. She also led the team
with 0.84 blocks per frame, totaling 100 blocks on the season.
The Winter Park native was recognized as a Sports Import/AVCA
National Player of the Week midway through the season during the
Tars' conference openers against Nova Southeastern and Barry. The
6-0 middle blocker also ranks nationally in hitting percentage
(70th), points per set (80th) and kills per
set (134th).
Megan Hodges, who picks up her second Daktronics recognition,
came off an early-season injury to return right where she left
off. Hodges leads the team and league with 3.74 kills per set
while hitting at a .273 clip. She also leads the team and league
in service aces with 0.58 service aces per set (43) and registered
100 digs and 25 blocks.
Rollins will face the No. 3 seed Palm Beach Atlantic on
Thursday, Nov. 29 in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Division II
