WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 24, 2011) - In her 11th season at Rollins, head coach Sindee Snow captured her 200th career victory over the Saint Leo Lions in straight sets (25-14, 25-9, 25-20) Saturday afternoon.

Snow led the Tars to their second straight conference win of the season as Rollins now improves to 9-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play. The Saint Leo Lions fall to 6-6 on the season and 2-2 in the SSC.

Megan Hodges led with a match-high 11 kills, to go along with nine digs and one block. Camille Indest hit a match-high .562 with nine kills, five blocks, and a service ace. Jessica Wilson chipped in with eight kills, while Kelly Merideth and Collyn Welsch added six apiece.

Despite the quick win for the Tars, Rollins found themselves behind in the early goings of game one. The Lions used a 7-1 rally to lead 10-5 over Rollins, but the Tars scored eight consecutive points to regain the lead, 13-10. Rollins sealed the 25-14 win on a pair of blocks from Camille Indest and Kelly Merideth, a kill by Collyn Welsch, and a set of defensive miscues on the Lions' part.

In game two, Rollins held the Lions to nine points, the lowest for any opponent this season. The Tars used multiple rallies to fend the Lions off with a tight defense, as Rollins tallied three of their seven total blocks in game two.

Rollins had to fight a little harder in game three, as the Lions came as close as three at the 23-20 mark on a block by Heather Martin. Kills from Welsch and Wilson capped the scoring for Rollins for the 25-20 win.

The Tars will hit the road for a midweek contest against No. 2 Tampa on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Rollins will then return to Warden Arena for a weekend conference tilt against Nova Southeastern on Friday, Sept. 30, followed by a Saturday match against Florida Tech. First serve against the second-ranked Spartans is set for 7 p.m. Fans can catch all the live action on the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com.
