In the top of the fourth, Eckerd took the 3-1 lead over the Tars
on a two-run single by Stephen Pelc. Rollins rallied late in the
bottom of the seventh as Josh Band crossed the plate on a Tony
Brunetti single. Band walked, stole second, advanced to third on
an Adams flyout to center and scored with two outs on the
board.
Starting pitcher Mike Howard (3-3) was charged with the loss in
7 1/3 innings of work. He fanned five, walked one, and gave up two
earned runs. Eckerd closer Robbie Nabers received the win with
two innings on the mound.
