ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. (April 15, 2011) -
Fifth-ranked Lynn proved to be too much for ninth-ranked Rollins on
Friday as the Tars fell 5-0 in the Sunshine State Conference
Championship semifinals.
Rollins (15-8) falls to the back draw and will meet Saint Leo at
2 p.m. in the third place match. Nova Southeastern is serving as
host at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs.
In the top doubles match, 14th-ranked Jeff Morris and
Arturo Baravalle fell to eighth-ranked Vlad Cirla and Alessandro
Sarra 8-5. Nick Rowlands and Jason Alabaster dropped an 8-1
decision to ninth-ranked Villi Wolfer and Luca Pavanelli while
Sebastian Hafner and David Yawalkar lost to Alex Voirin and George
Laffey 8-3 at No. 3.
Lynn sealed the match with 13th-ranked Wolfer downing
12th-ranked Morris 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 and
14th-ranked Cirla took 37th-ranked Baravalle
6-1, 6-2.
