LOS ANGLES (March 8, 2011) - The
10th-ranked Rollins women's tennis team swept through
doubles and defeated Cal State L.A. 7-2 on Wednesday.
Rollins improves to 9-2 on the season and remains perfect on the
So-Cal road trip.
In the top doubles match, 24th-ranked Margaret Junker
and Kayli Ragsdale defeated Christie Lau and Larn McShane 8-5.
Ashley Rosenberg and Lisa Loft took the No. 2 match 8-3 over
Jillian Sangria and Charlotte Spassoff while Roshni Luthra and
Allie Steele defeatd Linda Majlikova and Linda Xavier 8-4 in the
No. 3 match.
In singles, Junker stayed perfect on the season with a 6-0, 6-0
shutout of Majzlikova at No. 2 while Loft won 6-4, 2-6, 10-2 at No.
3. Rosenberg won the No. 5 match over Xavier 6-0, 6-2 and Mariana
Salvador took Spassoff 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6.
Rollins continues its trip to California with a match-up against
Western New Mexico in San Diego on March 9.
