INDIANAPOLIS (November 9, 2011) - The Rollins
volleyball team remains in third in the latest NCAA Division II
South Region Poll, it was announced Wednesday.
With an overall record of 22-8, the Tars have posted a 16-5
in-region record to place them behind No. 5 Tampa and No. 22
Eckerd, respectively. Rollins has won nine of their last 10
contests and enter the final week of regular-season competition.
The Tars will face Florida Tech on Friday followed by a Saturday
afternoon match-up against the Nova Southeastern Sharks.
As the top three teams remain the same in the standings, there
have been some changes in the order of the remaining teams. West
Florida remains as the fourth-ranked team in the region, while
Florida Southern has jumped two spots to fifth.
The North Alabama Lions and the Christian Brothers Buccaneers
each fall down a spot to sixth and seventh, respectively. Palm
Beach Atlantic remains in eighth, while the West Alabama Tigers
debut in the latest poll in ninth. Benedict remains in
10th to round out the poll.
Rollins will host their final home match of the season as the
Tars welcome the No. 5 Tampa Spartans today. First serve is set
