MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (October 23, 2011)- The 11th-ranked women's soccer team added another victory to the win column, claiming a 1-0 decision over Georgia College, Sunday afternoon. With the win Rollins improves to 11-1-2 on the season with only two games remaining on the schedule.

The Tars came into the game with an aggressive game plan and it showed from the start with the Tars taking early chances and peppering the frame with shots. Rollins dominated the shot chart in the first half with 15 strikes compared to three for the Bobcats.

Rollins kept their foot on the gas and were rewarded in the 39th minute with a beautiful combination between Ashley Waplinger and Emma Jones. The Tars started to build up the play in the attacking third with a hard strike from Waplinger that took a glancing blow off the crossbar and landed at the feet of Jones, who knocked it past Taylor Cornelius to give the Tars the advantage. Jones leads all freshmen with 10 points on the season and sits third overall on the team behind Ali Schrader and Waplinger.

Michelle Dillingham was called upon once in the first half and forced Ashley Villieux to knock her free kick off the top of the crossbar. The senior stepped up in the second half with a trio of saves that kept the clean sheet for the Tars.

Both teams came out of the break with excellent energy and traded attacks, but once again the Tars held the advantage on the shot chart, 17-7. The Bobcats threatened with a few attacks, but were turned away by Dillingham and the back line of the Tars.
