Tars Move Up One Spot to No. 9 in Division II Poll

WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 1, 2010) -

The Rollins women's tennis team, with a record of 13-5, has jumped one spot to No. 9 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II poll.

Armstrong Atlantic heads the rankings, followed by Sunshine State Conference foe Lynn in second and BYU-Hawaii in third.

Roshni Luthra checks in as the Tars top ranked singles player, moving up 10 spots to No. 11 in the latest poll. The junior is 12-5 on the season playing in the top flight and 2-2 versus ranked players, including a victory over now 14th-ranked Natalia Ramos of Florida Tech.

Rollins top doubles tandem of Margaret Junker and Kayli Ragsdale climbed into the rankings for the first time this season, landing at No. 18. They are 12-6 playing at No. 1 doubles while posting a 1-1 mark against ranked teams.

The Rollins women's tennis team is coming down the home stretch their season and will travel to Embry-Riddle on Thursday, Apr. 1.
