BEALLSVILLE, Md. (March 29, 2010) -
The third-ranked Rollins women's golf team turned in a first
round 314 to sit fifth halfway through the Hoya Women's
Invitational, hosted by Georgetown University.
The second round of the tournament, scheduled to be played Monday
afternoon, was suspended due to weather. The teams will play a
final round on Tuesday at the Members Club at Four Streams in
Beallsville, Maryland.
Top-ranked Nova Southeastern paces the field with a day one score
of 303. Maryland and Yale each shot 308 and are tied for second,
while Campbell (309) sits third.
Joanna Coe and Daniela
Vargas each fired opening round 77's to tie for ninth and pace
the Tars. Brianna Seo carded 39
strokes on both the front and back and is tied for 16th with a
score of 78. Fabia Rothenfluh shot 82 and
is tied for 41st while Amanda
Henry carded an 84 and is tied for 52nd.
Sandra Changkija of Nova Southeastern shot an even-par 72 and paces
the field.
