Pfeiffer continued to take advantage as the Tars scrambled to
recollect themselves in the ensuing minutes after the penalties,
scoring three more goals to lead 16-13 with 7:42 remaining on the

But Rollins rattled off four-straight shots between the pipes,
and held the Falcons silent in the final three minutes of action to
hold onto the one goal advantage.

were Liz Connelly, Mallory
Surpless, and Sophie
Townsend with two apiece. Tori Snow and Sarah Ann Showell

Snow registering two assists, while Tyszko earned one assist of her
own.
Snow led the Tars in draw controls with five, and was closely
followed by Giannerini and Connelly who each grabbed four, as the
Tars dominated the draw 21-12. Pfeiffer led the ground ball count
by a slim 28-26 margin, but were a perfect 6-for-6 on free position
attempts compared to Rollins' 3-for-7 mark.

goals on the afternoon. Jessica Kennedy, Liz Melesh, and Shannon
Bonnel notched two each, while Heidi Karaszkiewicz, Alex Cook, and
Amanda Smith scored one.

close the gap to three with a score of 9-6 and 2:55 to go.
Showell netted a goal off of a Connelly feed just 12 seconds
later to pull Rollins ahead 10-6, but two straight crease rolls
from Allie Gamble pulled the Falcons to within two as the teams
entered into the half with a score of 10-8.
Tyszko ignited the Tars at the start of the second half, scoring
an unassisted goal 46 seconds in. The two south region foes
battled back and forth over the ensuing eight minutes, as each team
scored two apiece to set the score at 13-10 with 19:54 on the
clock.
Rollins was handed two quick yellow cards two minutes later,
allowing Pfeiffer to rattle off their six goal run over the
following 10 minutes of play to pull ahead to a 16-13 lead with
7:42 to go.
But the Tars were not about to back down, netting the final four
goals of the contest, including two from Tyszko, to secure the
victory.
