and Kirsten Frame were stifling in the circle, leading the 19th-ranked Rollins softball team to a 5-0 win over Franklin Pierce and 4-0 victory over UMass-Lowell on Friday.

Rollins improves to 19-3 on the season while dropping the Raves to 4-9 and the Riverhawks to 7-6.

In the opener, hosted at the National Training Center in Clermont, Roser allowed just two Franklin Pierce hits while recording nine strikeouts and no walks, improving her record to 4-2 on the year. Frame had a no-hitter through six and a third against UMass-Lowell and improved to 13-1 on the season, surrendering one single with nine strikeouts and one walk.

Amber Pederson led the Tars against FPU, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a pair of stolen bases.

The Tars announced their presence with authority, as Lauren Caldwell led off the opening game with a triple, ripped down the right field line. She later stole home to put Rollins up 1-0. Still in the first, Roser drew a walk and made her way to third on a wild pitch and stolen base. Jessica Moreland then put the Tars up 2-0 with a RBI single to plate Roser.

Rollins got two more in the fifth as Pederson and Roser led off with back-to-back singles with Pederson scoring on a fielder's choice from Moreland and Roser taking advantage of a Ravens error. The Tars tacked on an insurance run in the sixth as Pederson smacked a two-out single and eventually scored on a FPU error.

In the night cap against UML, Caldwell went 2-for-4 with two runs scored while Roser and Meredith Foster each batted 2-for-3.

The Tars went up 2-0 in the bottom of the third with Brittney Pumpelly and Caldwell racking up back-to-back triples with Caldwell's scoring Pumpelly. Caldwell was later knocked home on a Pederson single.

Rollins pulled away in the fifth, manufacturing a run with Roser batting home Caldwell and capped the game off in the sixth as Foster led off with a double and later scored on a Lowell error.
