WINTER PARK, Fla. (December 29, 2010) - Nick
Wolf

Tournament, Wednesday.
The Tars (9-2) advance to play Winston-Salem State in the
tournament championship on Thursday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. The Rams
beat Flagler 84-76 in overtime in Wednesday's first semifinal.
Wolf was spectacular against WAU, shooting 9-of-14 from the
floor, including a 3-pointer, and 9-of-9 from the stripe, while
also tallying two assists and three steals. The game was the
senior's fourth straight with 20 or more points and second straight
double-double.

Robertson chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds while Myk
Brown netted 10.
Khalid Martin led Washington Adventist (2-9) with 22 points and

charity stripe. The Shock hit just 39 percent (24-61) from the

Despite arriving to Florida late due to the blizzard in the
Northeast, WAU established the early tempo and rolled up an 11-5
lead over the first five minutes. Rollins shot just 2-of-7 to open
the game while the Shock were 5-of-8.
A Wolf stick-back at the 14:02 mark ignited a 15-0 Tars run that
put them in control, 22-11 with 8:37 to play in the half. Jamie
Newton later connected on a triple for WAU to get them to within
eight, 24-16, but Rollins held down the stretch and took a 37-24
lead into the half.
The Shock came out of intermission strong and closed the gap to
seven, 40-33 with 15:40 to play but another Rollins run, this time
a 14-5 spurt, gave the Tars a 54-38 advantage with 10 minutes
left.
Rollins advances to the Tangerine Tournament championship game
for the 13th straight season and will be seeking its
15th title. The Tars and Winston-Salem State also met up
in the final game of the 26th edition of the tournament
in 2000 with Rollins winning 58-55.
