KANSAS CITY, Kan. (December 1, 2010) - Winners
of its last four, the Rollins men's basketball team jumped two
spots to No. 13 in the latest NABC Division II Coaches Poll.
Cal Poly Pomona leads the rankings while Findlay and Bellarmine
are tied for second. Winona State and South Carolina Aiken complete
the top-five.
Rollins is the only Sunshine State Conference school in the poll
with Florida Southern falling out after sitting at No. 21 last
week. Eckerd received one vote. Alabama-Huntsville at No. 6 and
Arkansas Tech at No. 21 also represent the South Region.
The Tars Dec. 16 opponent, Central Washington, enters the poll
for the first time, coming in at No. 24.
Rollins will meet Palm Beach Atlantic on the road in its next
contest on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. The Sailfish are 5-2 on the
season, which includes a win over Stetson on Nov. 26.
Due to the Tars men's soccer NCAA semifinal match also on
Thursday, Rollins basketball will not be broadcast on 91.5 FM,
