WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 1, 2009) -
Entering into their 2009 slate ranked No. 10 on the NSCAA
Division II preseason poll, the women's soccer team kicked off
their season with a mark of 1-0 after a 2-0 shutout over Savannah
College of Art and Design. Junior duo Marie Sapper and Leah Hirsch
scored one goal apiece to secure the victory over the Bees. The
women take to the pitch in their first home contest of the year on
Tuesday, September 1 when they take on Carthage College at 5:00
p.m., and then head out west to San Antonio, Texas to take on
Incarnate Word and Abilene Christian over the weekend.
