BOCA RATON, Fla. (April 17, 2009)
Rollins fell in all three doubles matches and couldn't get rolling
in singles as the No. 15 Tars lost to No. 2 Lynn 5-0 in the
Sunshine State Conference Tournament Friday.
Rollins will match up with either Barry or Florida Southern in
the third place match on Saturday, April 18 at 3 p.m.
In No. 1 doubles, 13th ranked Adrian
Tan and Jeff
Morris were upset by Alessandro Sarra and Julien Carsuzaa 8-2
with Nick
Rowlands and Bill
Rockwood falling to Axel Joachim and Alex Viorin 8-2 at No. 3.
The Knights earned the sweep as Gustavo
Carvalho and Neil
Clausen were topped by Tomas Racak and Luca Pavanelli 8-6 at
No. 3.
Carvalho was defeated by Pavanelli 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 4 match
and Joachim downed Andrew
Johnson 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 to give LU the win.
