Senior pitcher Nicole
Anderson along with the Tars' bats came alive to defeat Clark
Atlanta, 11-0 Friday afternoon.
Anderson moves to 8-1 on the season as she allowed one hit and
collected 13 strikeouts. Anderson also pitched her third shutout of
the season. With the strikeouts Anderson moves closer to the 1,000
strikeout mark, needing only 25 more.
The offense for the Tars came alive as Rollins posted 11 runs on
twelve hits, which included two inside the park homeruns and two
doubles. After scoring one run in the first inning the Tars offense
exploded to score five runs in the third and fourth innings.
Leading the way for Rollins was Monica
Meadows as she went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Joining Meadows with
multiple hits were Missy
Thogmartin and Christine
Roser as they combined to go 4-for-6 with five RBI's. Meadows
and Thogmartin each had stand up inside the park homeruns against
the Panthers. Freshmen Kaycie
Bevis kept things rolling as she collected three RBI's on the
day and went 1-for-1.

The Tars will continue their trip in Atlanta when they take on
