ROLLINS WOMEN VS. ECKERD AT A GLANCE...
Tonight the Tars close out their season against the Eckerd Tritons. Rollins put away Palm Beach Atlantic in a close contest, 66-53, Wednesday night. The Tars found their outside shooting touch as they shot 47 percent from behind the arc. The only area Palm Beach Atlantic controlled the Tars in was the free throw line. Rollins did not attempt any free throws the whole game, while PBA made seven of nine from the stripe. The last time these two teams met was back in January, which saw the Tars take a 60-53 win over the Tritons in Winter Park.

Tonight is the 58th meeting between these two teams with the Tars taking 59 of those contests.

The Tars step back into conference play for the regular season finale as they look to close the season out with a win. Rollins looks to cement its seed in the conference tournament with a win against Eckerd. The Tars want to gain some more wins and momentum as they make a run at the NCAA South Region Tournament. Rollins has been in front all year long as they started off winning 14 games in a row. Since then the Tars have gone 4-2 in the month of January, and started out February 5-2.

Head Coach Glenn Wilkes and Tom Klusman own 1,026 wins between the two of them. The two rank third in total wins and are the fourth active duo to have over a 1,000 wins. Glenn Wilkes, Jr. and his father Glenn Wilkes, former Stetson men's coach, are the only father-son coaching duo with more than 500 wins apiece.

No. 22 Rollins falls one spot as they dropped a tough decision against conference foe Barry. The Rollins men and women have combined to earn 40 wins, which is good for 14th in Division II basketball. Both teams have a combined winning percentage of .765.

The Tars offense found its outside shooting groove as they shot 47 percent from behind the arc. Outside shooting has haunted Rollins the past few games. Uncharacteristically the Tars did not make a single trip to the free throw line against PBA. Jessica Pressley is the Tars leading scorer this season is averaging 11.2 ppg and pulling down 3.0 rpg. Pressley also has been hitting her shots from the outside to compliment the post play of Ines Teuma. Teuma is second in scoring on the team at 10.2 ppg and pulling down 7.7 boards per game.

The Tars continue to dominate teams in scoring, as they outscore opponents by an average of 12.4 ppg and are also outrebounding teams by an average of 7.4 rpg. The Tars continue their streak of outrebounding opponents this season to 20 games.

ROLLINS MEN VS. ECKERD...AT A GLANCE
The Rollins College men's basketball team will wrap up its 2009 regular-season when it travels to St. Petersburg, Fla., for a Sunshine State Conference finale against the Eckerd Tritons, Saturday, Feb. 28.

The Tars own control of the all-time series boasting a 59-42 record against the Tritons. The teams split last year's games with both teams claiming a victory at home. At Warden Arena, Rollins outscored Eckerd, 83-75 as Jonny Reibel led the Tars in scoring with 25 and Nick Wolf hauled in a team-high six boards. In the last regular-season game of 2008, a buzzer-beating half-court shot from the Triton's Damone Morris sealed the Tars fate and earned Eckerd the 66-64 win.

During the fi rst meeting back on Jan. 28, Rollins earned a 16-point victory after Kevin Hogan led four scorers in double fi gures with 22 points.

Leading the way for Rollins is the sophomore-senior combination of Nick Wolf and Kevin Hogan. Wolf, a two-time SSC Player of the Week has been pacing the Tars in points (17.1) and rebounds (9.3). He has registered a double-double in 11 contests this year and has fi ve games with 20 or more points with his freshest double-double a 13 point and 11 rebound performance against Lynn, a week from last Wednesday.

Hogan has done his part averaging 13.4 ppg, 349 points on the season increasing his career total to 1,232 points, 24th on the Tars' all-time list and just 6 points behind current assistant coach Brad Ash. Adding a different element to the Tars' offense is senior Zach Pancratz. Pancratz, a transfer from Northern Illinois, has started every game for Rollins and leads the team in assists (107) and in steals (50).
