defeated the Lions in the last 17 games. Rollins has swept Saint
Leo in the past seven seasons, while the Lions last victory over
the Tars occurred, Jan. 20, 2001 at home in a 67-63 victory.
The Tars defeated Saint Leo in its conference road opener last
year, 95-88 in overtime, backed behind the play of Kevin Hogan's 28
points and Craig Reichel and Nick Wolf's team-high eight
rebounds.
Rollins is led by Wolf in two categories, as the Cincinnati,
Ohio, native averages 15.6 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per

At a glance (Women's Basketball)... Today's
game will be the 72nd meeting between theses two teams as the Tars
have claimed 63 victories in that span.
The Tars are coming off another successful weeked as they hosted
the SIAC/SSC RollinsSportsStore.com challenge. Rollins came away
with two wins against two tough teams in the SIAC. Fort Valley and
Albany State could not handle the Tars outside shooting and low
post play. Jessica Pressley and Brittainy Daiger led the way for
the Tars as each scored in double figures.
After the tournament the Tars are in positiion to stay atop the
standings in the SSC. The Tars are tied with conference rival
Florida Tech fot the top spot. This run has seen the Tars move up
to 19th in the latest WBCA poll. So far this season the Tars are
led by Jessica Pressley, who leads team in scoring with 12.1 ppg.
Pressley is also shooting 52 percent from behind the arc. With the
excellent outside shooting this has opened the inside up for Ines
Teuma and Wideline Saraphin.
This season Rollins has shown that it has the ability to win in
different situations. The Tars can either wear a team down by going
inside or they have shown they can wear a team down from the
outside.
In all 10 games the Tars have played at their own pace and have
dictated the play to their opponent.
Controlling play and being effective while controlling play will
be important for the Tars as they move through conference play.
Depending on how successful they are able to do this will determine
the overall success for the Tars.
Head Coach Glenn Wilkes is entering his 23rd season as head
coach of the Tars. Wilkes is in his quest for 500 wins and only
needs three more to reach that mark. When Wilkes gets to the 500
win mark Rollins will have the third duo of coaches to have 1,000
combined wins.
