WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 5, 2008) ' Rachael Foster tossed a perfect game and Christine Roser drove in five runs to lead Rollins in a doubleheader sweep over Ohio Valley University Wednesday evening. The Tars (7-8) took game one 12-0 in five innings and won 9-1 in the five inning night cap.

Nicole Anderson picked up the game one victory, allowing one run on three hits with 11 strikeouts and no walks. Foster faced the minimum 15 batters and struck out 10 for her first career perfect game.

Roser went 3-5 with two runs scored and five RBI with a homer on the night to lead the Tars bats. Kayla McCraney blasted her first career dinger to highlight a 3-6, four RBI performance while Sherri Rabenold batted 3-5 and scored five times.

Rollins hung four runs in the first inning of game one as Rabenold led off with a single and Missy Thogmartin and Monica Meadows rocked back to back RBI doubles. Later on in the inning, Roser batted in Meadows, and after a Starcher walk, McCraney hit a two RBI double to make it 4-0. In the third, Rabenold hit a line drive, three run homer to make it 7-0. The Fighting Scots got one back in the fourth before a two run Roser homer put the score a 9-1.

In the night cap, the Tars knocked out nine hits and took advantage of five Ohio Valley wild pitches to post the runaway victory. Rabenold scored on a wild pitch and Lauren Starcher knocked in Meadows in the Tars first to make it 2-0. McCraney led off a big Rollins second inning in which Rollins scored six runs on two hits after being issued five walks. Rollins then made it 11-0 in the third with three more and tacked on another in the fourth after a McCraney lead-off homer.

Rollins will travel to Georgia this weekend for the Clark-Atlanta Tournament on March 7-8. The Tars will take on West Alabama at 9 a.m. and Fort Valley State at 11 a.m. on the first day before battling with Claflin, West Florida and Stillman on day two.
