WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 12, 2008) ' The Tars
notched 32 runs in a combined two games against the Kentucky State
Thorobreds on Wednesday afternoon at Lake Island Park. Rollins
pummeled Kentucky State 24-0 in the first game, and rolled 8-0 in
the second contest.
Nicole Anderson pitched two innings in the first game, giving up
one hit and striking out three Thorobreds. Rachael Foster picked up
the win game two for Rollins, allowing just two hits with nine
strikeouts in five innings. Rollins' entire line-up had a big day
as the Tars pounded out 30 hits in the doubleheader.
With the win, Rollins improved their record to 14-8 on the
season.
Rollins will be back in action on Monday, March 17 when they
take on Carson Newman in a 5:00 p.m. doubleheader.
