60th Annual Rollins College Baseball Week

$website.include("options")

The 60th Annual Rollins College Baseball Week is scheduled for March 1-8, 2008 at Alfond Stadium at Harper-Shepherd Field. Baseball Week, the oldest regular season tournament in college baseball, was originally created by legendary Rollins Head Coach Joe Justice in 1948 as an opportunity for the Tars to face some nationally prominent teams in early season competition. Baseball Week has evolved into a much anticipated stop on the Florida tour for many Division I schools.

BASEBALL WEEK HISTORY

The tournament has traditionally featured Division I programs traveling south to Florida for some early season competition. For the first time last year, Rollins invited Division II schools, as Bentley, Merrimack, and New Haven participated. In 2008 the schedule will return to its traditional format. Georgetown will be making its fourth appearance in the tournament, and Saint Joseph's will be making its second. Holy Cross makes its Baseball Week debut in this year's tournament.
