Behind Jessica Pressley's career-high 27 points, the Rollins
women's basketball team defeated the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish
for the second time this week 76-59 at the Rubin Arena. In their
meeting on Monday, February 4, Rollins took out Palm Beach Atlantic
60-46.
Pressley went a perfect 8-8 from the stripe and 5-11 from long
range. Brittainy Daiger and Erin Kirkwood tallied 10 point each,
while Jennifer Musgrove chipped in six points and 13 boards.
Down 30-29 at the end of the first stanza, Rollins came out
firing in the second half as Pressley hit eight straight points for
the Tars to give them the 37-30 lead over the Sailfish.
The Tars kept a single digit lead over Palm Beach Atlantic until
the 6:41 mark when they increased their lead to double figures with
four consecutive free throws by Pressley, 64-51.
Rollins would dominate the second half outscoring Palm Beach
Atlantic in points off of turnovers 11-3, second chance points 14-1
and points off the bench 16-0.
Rollins (13-8, 3-7) will be back in action on Wednesday,
February 13 when they host the Florida Tech Panthers (10-10, 2-7).
