ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (October 22, 2008) - The Tars could not capture a much needed win on the road on Wednesday evening as they fell 2-1. The Tars fell short again on the road as they gave up two late goals to Flagler. With the loss the Tars remain winless on the road this season. Both teams were looking pick up a win as the Tars and Saints came off tough losses. With the loss the Tars fall to 6-9 overall, 3-4 in SSC play. The Saints improved to 7-5-2 on the season as they look to close out their season with a winning record. With the loss the next two games are important for the Tars as they continue to wrap up their season on the road.

The first half did not see any scoring as both teams were content with trading attacks. Tars keeper Aaron Rokeach did not face any serious challenges until the last four minutes of the game as the Saints tallied two goals within 25 seconds of each other. After falling down 2-0 the Tars were able to quickly strike with a tally of their own. It was the fresh substitution of Stuart Siddall, who was able to put the ball past the diving keep of the Saints. Aaron Beers deflected the ball, but not enough to save it from going in the net. Scott Murrell collected an assist on the play for the Tars. The last three minutes of the game saw the Tars attacking quickly and often, but did not have enough to get the equalizing goal.

The Tars offense gained good opportunities all night, but could only get one to the back of the net. The Tars collected 15 shots on the evening, but it did not translate into goals. Rollins struggled to obtain quality scoring chances all night as their shots sailed high or wide of the frame.

Rollins will now finish the last two games of the season on the road as they travel to Lake Wales and Miami, Fla. These are must win games for the Tars if they look to keep their hopes of postseason play alive.

The Tars will travel to take on the Warner Southern Royals on October 27 in Lake Wales, Fla.
