KANSAS CITY, Kan. (October 14, 2008)
Even after having to postpone their only contest of the week last
week, the Rollins women's soccer team continues to ascend the
national ranks, finding themselves in the No. 8 position in their
sixth straight week of poll recognition. The Tars sit with an
overall record of 9-0-2 and 2-0 in Sunshine State Conference

Rollins' big SSC match-up with Saint Leo was halted last week in
the 35th minute due to lightning with the score tied 0-0. The game
will be made up on the last day of the regular season, Sunday
November 2 at 6 p.m. in Winter Park at Barker Family Stadium and
Cahall-Sandspur Field.
Other SSC teams in the national poll include Tampa, who sit at
No. 18 this week. Both Lynn University and Saint Leo University
received votes in this week's poll as well.
The Women take on Nova Southeastern at home on Tuesday, October
14 in a 6:00 p.m. matchup, and will conclude the week at Lynn
University in their fourth conference showdown of the season on
Saturday, October 18. Kickoff against the Fighting Knights is set
for 3:00 p.m. Fans can catch all of the action live in both
contests on the Citizen's Bank of Florida Tars Sports Network at www.RollinsSports.com.
