LAKELAND, Fla. (January 26, 2008) - Jonny Reibel's 27 points was not enough as the No. 8 Tars fell to the No. 22 Florida Southern Moccasins 85-83 on Saturday evening at Jenkins Field House. Rollins falls to 15-3, 4-3 while Florida Southern improves to 15-5, 6-2. This is the Tars' first loss to a Top 25 team in the 2007-08 season.

Reibel led the Tars with 27 points, five assists and seven rebounds. Jeremy Sharpe posted 19 points going 5-7 from long range. Nick Wolf added 14 points and grabbed a team high eight boards, while Kevin Hogan chipped in 10 points for the Tars.

Rollins took the lead from the Mocs at the 13:19 mark and kept it until the halftime buzzer where the Tars had a 42-37 lead over Florida Southern going into the locker room. Reibel led all scorers at the half with 14 points.

With the score tied 66-66, Rion Rayfield hit his third three pointer of the game to put the Mocs up by three, 69-66. At the 2:10 mark, Rayfield drained another three to give Florida Southern an eight point lead over Rollins, 80-72. A lay-up by Wolf and a three pointer by Sharpe cut the deficit to three, 80-77.

With 31 ticks left on the clock and the Tars down by seven, Reibel hit back to back three pointers to cut the lead to just one point, 84-83. Brandon Jenkins made 1-2 free throws to give the Tars 12 seconds drive up the court and make a game-winning basket. Reibel's three point attempt failed to connect as time expired.

Four Moccasins scored in double figures as Rayfield led the way with 20 points, dishing out six assists. Jenkins tallied 18 points going 4-5 from the stripe. Rob Eldridge notched 14 points and Will Graham finished out the scoring with 13 points, four assists, two blocks and two steals.
