WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 21, 2007) ' The Rollins softball team played two tremendous defensive games as they blew past Lynn University 2-1 in the first game and 1-0 in game two action on Saturday afternoon at Lake Island Park.

Leading the way for the Tars (35-10, 10-5) was Amanda DeFilippo who went 3-5 on the afternoon hitting her fifth double of the season. Jamie Rausch also had a big afternoon going 2-5 with three RBI and also tallying her second triple and fifth homerun.'

In Game One, Ingrid Schumacher took her place in the circle pitching 6.1 innings giving up one run on four hits and seven strikeouts. Schumacher was taken out of the game in the top of the seventh inning and replaced by Nicole Anderson who was able to complete'her first'save for the Tars.
