Tars Notch Seventh Straight Victory To Stay Atop Conference

WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 20, 2007) ' The Tars easily prevailed over conference opponent Saint Leo (1-11) 5-0 Tuesday afternoon at the Martin Complex. Rollins is now 12-1 on the season boasting a seven match win streak.

Rollins took all three doubles matches without a problem, as the Lions defaulted at the No. 3 spot. Sonia Bernal and Allison Arof played the No. 1 position defeating Asmaa Tazi and Taylor Cleaves 8-4. In the second seed, Silvia Frandji and Anastasiya Shevchenko triumphed over Gina Schifano and Lara King 8-4.

The top four singles matches went unfinished as the Tars won the No. 5 and No. 6 matches by Saint Leo defaults.

Rollins (12-1, 2-1) will be back in action on Friday, March 23 when they host the Division I Memphis Tigers (1-9) at 3:30 p.m.
