MONTEVALLO, Ala. (March 11, 2007) ' In their fourth meeting of the season, the Eckerd College Tritons overpowered the Rollins College Tars 85-76 in the semifinal of the NCAA South Region Tournament hosted by the University of Montevallo. Rollins previously played Eckerd three times this season, winning only one out of four contests against the Tritons.

Three Tars scored in double digits, as Rollins battled until the end. Jonny Reibel notched 20 points going eight of 14 from the floor. Senior John Thinnes ended his career with the Tars with 16 points, while sophomore Kevin Hogan tallied 13 points and went a perfect five of five from the charity stripe.

Five Eckerd players scored in double figures. Andre King-Holland scored 10, Matt Cenatus totaled 16, Damone Morris chipped in 15, Josh King added 16 and Craig Hazel knocked down 13 in the Tritons win over the Tars.

The Tars end their season with a 25-7 overall record and five seniors that will be sorely missed.

'I am really proud of this team. We fought hard tonight, but it just wasn't enough,' Isaac Codrey said. 'It's been a pleasure playing with these guys. I'm really going to miss being a part of the program.'

'There is a lot of this experience I'm going to miss,' Senior Jordan Kolosey said. 'I'm going to miss being a part of the gameday experience, but I will always considered myself a part of the Rollins College family.'

'I'm said it ended this way,' Thinnes said. 'I had a great four years and we really bonded as a team. This was by favorite season by far.'

'Even though I was injured this season, I wouldn't change anything,' Jon Smith said. 'I came in with a great group of guys and this team made my last year very special.'

'This was the best year I've ever had with the team,' Deon Troupe said. 'I've made friends for a lifetime and teammates I'll never forget.'

'This was a truly unforgettable team and I'm just so proud of these guys,' Coach Tom Klusman said. 'They were so much fun to be around, not just as players, but as people.'
