WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 18, 2007) ' Junior
leftfielder Mike Crane singled home the winning run in the Rollins
baseball team's 5-4 victory over non-conference opponent Bryant
University on a chilly Sunday night at Alfond Stadium.' The Tars
improved to 6-4 with the win, and Bryant (0-4) dropped their fourth
straight to open the season.

lead off the inning.' Designated hitter Gary Martoccio bunted
McKenzie to second, and after a popup by junior centerfielder Corey
Whiting and an intentional walk to senior third baseman Gene
Howard, Crane lined one up the middle to bring McKenzie home with
the winning run.' Sophomore reliever Michael Eppich (1-1) struck
out seven in three innings to pick up the win for Rollins, and
Bryant reliever Adam Vuolo (0-1) picked up the loss.

a .500 average through the first nine games, stayed hot by going
3-4 with a triple, two runs scored, and one stolen base.' Howard
drove in two with a double in the first inning, and he hit his
second double of the game in the seventh.' Freshman second baseman
Ryan Luker drove in the Tars' other run on a single in the fourth.'

unearned, in six innings.

two runs scored on the day.' Bryant starter Kevin Cobb struck out
11 in six innings of work before giving way to Vuolo.
