TAMPA, Fla. (October 24, 2007) ' The Rollins
volleyball team was swept by the No.1 Tampa Spartans 3-0 (30-22,
30-11, 30-26) on Wednesday evening at the Martinez Sports Center as
senior Christina Reinders notched her 1,000 career kill.
Rollins was led by Reinders who had nine kills and nine digs.
Junior Stephanie Nichols added eight kills and 14 digs on defense.
Christie Eastman chipped in six kills, while Kim Cline had nine
digs. Setters Lacey Malarky and Erin Wareham split time on the
evening each tallying 12 assists.
Two Spartans registered kills in double figures as Katelen Dixon
had 12 kills and Alisha Green totaled 10 kills. Setter Gabriela
Saade had 34 assists, while libero Margeaux Sinibaldi notched her
2,000 career dig against the Tars.
The Tars (16-13, 4-6) will be back in action on Friday, October
26 when they travel to Saint Leo (23-8, 5-5) to take on the Lions
