MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (September 30, 2006) ' The 17th ranked Rollins men's soccer team defeated Barry 3-1 at an enthusiastic Buccaneer Field on Saturday.

Rollins took advantage of a mistake by Barry goalkeeper Chris Rich on their first goal of the day.' Defender Eric Vergati fired a shot from 40 yards out, and Rich mishandled the ball and had it squirt through his legs and past the end line for the goal.'

The score remained 1-0 into the final 10 minutes of play.' Chris Cerroni took a pass from Jon Gruenewald on the right sideline and shot inside the left post for his 11th goal of the year.' Marc Reynolds pulled the Buccaneers within one goal with a header past Tars goalkeeper Frazer Siddall; Henry Apaloo and Lee Yakubowich picked up assists on the goal.' Gruenewald finally put the game out of reach for Barry in the final minute of the game when he scored on a breakaway with an assist by Stokes Smith.
