WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 27, 2006) ' The
Rollins men's soccer team (8-1, 2-0) remained at the 17th spot in
the latest NSCAA/adidas Division II National Rankings after a week
in which the team went 2-0 with Sunshine State Conference victories
over Tampa (5-5, 1-3) and Florida Southern (2-5-1, 1-1).
Rollins leads the nation in goals (44) and scoring average (4.89
goals per game).' Chris Cerroni is sixth in the nation in points
per game (2.75) and eighth in goals per game (1.13).' Juan Kusnir
ranks nationally in points per game (t-16th with 2.13) and assists
per game (t-14th with 0.63).' Leslie Osei is tied for first place
in the nation with 1.00 assists per game, and Jon Gruenewald ranks
11th with 0.67.
The Tars are back in action tonight against Saint Leo (5-4,
1-1).' In their SSC matches so far, the Lions lost at #2 Lynn (7-0,
2-0) on September 17 and defeated Tampa at home on September
22.
