A McDonough layup in the first minute of the second half put the Tars up by five, but that would be the largest lead they would have until overtime.' McDonough had an open look at a three-pointer with 12 seconds left in regulation, but her miss pushed the game into extra time with the score tied at 48.' The Golden Rams struggled to find scoring chances in overtime, making only one field goal and attempting only three.

The difference in the game proved to be the Tars' advantage in turnovers.' Rollins turned the ball over 12 times, and their opponents gave the ball up 25 times, leading to 25 points for the Tars.' Rollins also had the advantage at the free throw line, where they converted 15 of 27 attempts.' Albany State went to the line just 12 times, and they converted eight of them.

The Tars will be on the road for their final non-conference game when they face Palm Beach Atlantic on January 3 at 7:00 p.m.' Rollins then will resume its Sunshine State Conference season when they play host to Nova Southeastern on January 6 at 2:00 p.m.
