WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 3, 2006) ' The
Rollins women's soccer team (8-2-1, 2-0-1) earned a spot in the
latest NSCAA/adidas Division II National Rankings at #24 after a
week in which the team defeated #25 Saint Leo (8-2-1, 3-2-0) and
tied Barry (2-7-3, 0-2-2).
Star forward Lindsay Giblin ranks in the national statistical
leaders in points per game (19th ' 2.64), goals per game (t-19th,
1.00), and assists per game (t-20th ' 0.64).
Rollins' two conference wins and one tie give them a third place
standing in the Sunshine State Conference behind #8 Tampa (9-1,
3-0) and #25 Saint Leo (8-2-1, 3-2-0).' The Tars are back in action
at home tonight in a non-conference match against NAIA opponent
Webber International (1-6-1).
