Austin has been coaching competitive club volleyball for the past decade. He started his coaching career assisting the men’s varsity program at his alma mater, Lake Howell High School. He eventually moved to both the women and men’s programs. He helped the varsity women’s team to a district championship in 2015. Austin played a year of college club volleyball at UCF before transitioning into the men’s head coach position. In 2017 he helped coach the men’s team to a top 16 finish in the D1 division at the NCVF National Tournament. In 2018 Austin coached the Women’s Club Volleyball A-Team at UCF to multiple tournament championships.
Austin has been with OVA (previously named LVA) for the last 4 years. In the 2017-2018 season, he led the OVA 18 Black team to a first place finish in the Boston Volleyball Festival, earning a bid to USAV Nationals in Anaheim, California. In the 2019-2020 season, he led the OVA 17 Black team to a third place finish in the AAU National Championship.
