Biography

Junior who is coming off a breakout sophomore campaign that led to a national ranking in doubles and All-Sunshine State Conference nods in doubles and singles; has amassed 45 singles victories in just two seasons.

2009-08: Along with doubles partner Kayli Ragsdale, posted a record of 14-9 playing in the No. 1 seeded position. The duo was ranked as high as 13th in the nation before finishing 23rd. They went 6-2 in Sunshine State Conference play and earned a spot on the All-SSC First Team. In singles play, Junker posted an astonishing 22-1 mark with her lone defeat coming to the No. 6 player in the nation. She won every match in straight sets and was perfect in postseason action. Her mark of 7-1 in SSC play led to a spot on the All-Sunshine State Conference Second Team Singles. In the fall season, Junker and Ragsdale won the Embry-Riddle Open and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Wilson/ITA South Region Championship. Junker also excelled in the classroom and was honored on both the SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Rollins Athletic Director’s Honor Roll both fall and spring semesters.

2008-07: Posted a 23-2 mark in singles action, playing primarily the No. 5 position. Junker went 3-0 at No. 3 and 5-0 at No. 4 during her first college campaign. She won her first 14 matches, all in straight sets. In doubles, she teamed with Sonia Bernal to win their first 15 matches en route to a 25-1 record at primarily the No. 2 position. The duo went 7-1 in conference play and was undefeated in the postseason. In the fall season, Junker advanced to the finals of the C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational B Flight singles before the championship match was rained out. Along with Bernal, Junker advanced to the finals of the B Flight doubles, but fell in the title match. Earned spots on the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Rollins Athletic Director’s Honor Roll both fall and spring semesters.

High School: Junker was a two-time individual Missouri state champion in doubles, while her high school team won the state championship three times. She was also a First Team All-Metro member her junior and senior year. Junker went 35-1 during her career at St. Joseph''s Academy.
