Head Coach since: 1986
Rollins record: 518-281 (through 2021-22)

The name Bev Buckley has been synonymous with success as both a player and as a coach for the Rollins College women's tennis program. In the 1970's, she was a standout player for the Tars, and has been the head coach of the program for the better part of three decades.

Buckley currently ranks seventh on the Division II all-time wins list. Her historic 500th win came at home against Florida Tech on April 2, 2019. The team competed at the Division I level prior to the 1993-94 campaign, and held their own against many of the country's top programs. Since moving to Division II, the Tars have proven themselves to be legitimate contenders for the national title. By the end of the 2013-14 season, Rollins had made the NCAA Tournament for 20 consecutive years.

In December 2020, Buckley was honored with the ITA Meritorious Service Award. This prestigious recognition is bestowed annually in recognition of an ITA coach who has gone above and beyond in their commitment and contributions to the ITA and college tennis in general.

During her tenure, Buckley has coached 21 All-Americans, including the 1994 D-II National Singles Champion, Stacy Moss Mager, and the 2001 ITA D-II National Singles Champion, Angie Zguna.

The Tars have been an ITA All-Academic Team (cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher) every year since 2013, and featured eight ITA Scholar Athletes (3.5 GPA or higher) during the 2022 spring season. In all, Rollins has produced 57 women's tennis scholar athletes since 2013.

A 1975 Rollins graduate, Buckley was a standout performer for the Tars and is a member of the Rollins College Athletics Hall of Fame. She is the winningest coach in Rollins tennis history. While competing at Rollins, she won two Florida state collegiate doubles titles and one state singles title. She was selected to the U.S. Junior Wightman Cup Squad in 1973, and was named an Outstanding College Athlete of America in 1974 and 1975.

Following her graduation, she spent five years on the women's professional tour and participated in major events such as Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, and the French Open. Prior to joining the Rollins staff, she coached five seasons at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California, and served as tennis director and head teaching professional at Wakonda Club in Des Moines, Iowa, where she learned to play tennis at the age of 11.

Buckley has been inducted into the Iowa Tennis Hall of Fame (1991), the Rollins Athletics Hall of Fame (1993), the Missouri Valley USTA Section Hall of Fame (1994), the Roosevelt High School Alumni Hall of Fame (2010), and the Roosevelt High School Sports Hall of Fame (2019).
