Biography
2017-18: Became Rollins all-time leader in blocked shots (and counting)…Led the Tars, ranked second in the Sunshine State Conference and 20th in the nation with 2.7 blocks a game… had a total of 70 blocked shots… Set a season best with six blocks against Saint Leo (Dec. 9)... McLendon started all 26 games and scored double digits for the Tars six times…Averaged 7.7 points per game…tallied 201 rebounds for the season and a season best with 15 rebounds against Nova Southeastern (Jan. 6)…Ranked sixth in the SSC with 7.7 rebounds a night… Member of both Rollins Athletic Director and Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Rolls.
2016-17: Emerged as one of the nation’s top shot blockers…ranked ninth in all of Division II with 83 blocked shots…became the Tars all-time leader in blocked shots just two seasons…Set Rollins record for most blocks in a season (then 51) 19 games into the year…In her sophomore campaign she played and started in all 30 games for the Tars… averaging 8.6 points and 6.6 per game… shot 108-189 from the field; 57 percent FG led team… was 41-56 from the free throw line… new career high of 18 points coming against Southeastern (Dec. 10)… scored double digits for the Tars 12 times… tallied 83 blocks and 193 rebounds on the season, leading the team in both categories...Led SSC in blocked shots...three double-doubles on the year, including 14 points and 12 rebounds against nationally-ranked Eckerd (Feb. 4)… Five-time SSC Defensive Player of the Week…Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Year… Member of both Rollins Athletic Director and Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Rolls.
2015-16: Saw action in all 27 games, including 10 starts as a true freshman…averaged 3.5 points and 4.4 rebounds a game…shot 49 percent (39-of-80) from the field…also tallied 17 assists and 15 steals…scored double-digits twice…netted a career-high 15 points against Florida Tech (Feb. 13) while also grabbling career-best nine rebounds in the game…scored 13 points against Palm Beach Atlantic (Feb. 27), going a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line…member of the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s and Rollins Athletic Director Honor Rolls.
High School: Played forward at Seminole High School, leading the Seminoles during her career to a pair of District Championships, a Conference Championships and a Regional Championship…Earned a spot on both the FABC All-Star Team and FACA All-Star Team…named All-District her sophomore through senior seasons and was named Third Team All-State as a junior…combined record of 86-29 over her four years…averaged a double-double as a senior (12.5 pts, 10.8 rbs) to go along with 4.1 blocks, 2.0 steals and 1.8 assists per game.
