Eddie Cole has spent more then three decades as a fixture next to Glenn Wilkes, Jr. on the Rollins bench. An energetic and enthusiastic leader, he has given countless hours to Tars basketball and been key in building the program to its current state of success.
for his efforts, he was recognized and inducted into the Rollins Sports Hall of Fame on March 23, 2023.
Cole is instrumental to the recruiting process, both nationally and in Central Florida.Â
For the past two decades, Cole has served as the Executive Director of Every Kid Outreach, Inc. (EKO), which works with middle and high school minority youth in Eatonville, Winter Park, Maitland and Apopka. During the 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend in Orlando, Cole was presented with a new car by TNT's Kenny "The Jet" Smith for is work with EKO.
Cole is the former mayor of Eatonville, Florida. He has also served as a member of the Eatonville Town Council and as the Chief Administrative officer for the City of Eatonville. During the NBA season, Cole serves as team chaplain for the Orlando Magic.
During his tenure with the Tars, the team has averaged more than 20 victories per season and reached the NCAA Division II Tournament 16 times.
A native of Canton, Ohio, Cole attended and played basketball at Stark Tech College. He is the proud father of five children, Michelle, Crystal, twins Alex and Alicia, and his adopted son Obiora Nnaji, who was a center on the Rollins men's basketball team.
