Biography

2016: Gittins played in 12 games for the Tars… Scored six goals and had one assist in her sophomore season… Recorded four ground balls and three draw controls to help the Tars get back to the NCAA tournament… Caused six turnovers on the season… Scored two goals, caused four turnovers and earned to groundballs and two draw controls against Shorter on April 3, 2016

2015: Saw time in 16 games, helping the Tars win the inaugural SSC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament and earn an appearance in the NCAA Tournament… tallied two goals on the season, both on free position shots as she went 2-for-5 from the arc… picked up five ground balls and won three draw controls… caused four turnovers… scored first goal of her collegiate career on February 15, 2015 at Lenoir-Rhyne… earned a career best two draw controls and three caused turnovers against Tampa on February 8, 2015. 

High School: Attended The Columbus Academy in Gahanna, Ohio…played attack and midfield for the Vikings…led team to a State Championship in 2011…named All-State twice, including a first team nod as a senior…named first team All-District after her sophomore season…named team offensive MVP as a junior and both offensive and all around MVP after her senior year…scored a team high 53 goals as a senior…served as team captian in both her junior and senior years…also played field hockey.

Personal: Daughter to Sheri and Mark Gittins… has one sister, Tyler.
