Marissa returns to Rollins, where she had a successful playing career, to join the coaching staff in 2022.

Marissa was the first coach in the history of the Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse program, guiding th eteam from its infancy through the Eagles first three seasons.

During her playing career at Rollins Giannerini starred collecting a litany of awards including IWLCA/US Lacrosse Second Team All-American, IWLCA All-Academic Squad, IWLCA First Team All-Region, and WomensLacrosse.com Second Team All-American honors in 2009.  She followed that with a 2010 campaign that saw her be recognized as IWLCA Division II All-South Region First Team, as well as IWLCA Second Team All-American.
