Biography

A three-year veteran for the Tars women’s golf team who possesses a wealth of big-tournament experience; one of the South Regions’ top-golfers throughout her career.  

2009-10: Played in every tournament for the Tars for the second straight season, posting a 77.30 stroke average in 33 rounds. Tied her career best with a 72 at the Dr. Donnis Invitational in Hawaii. Picked up with the new season right where she left off the last, finishing fourth at the Princeton Invitational with scores of 76-73. Tied for 16th at the Penn State Nittany Lion Women’s Invitational (79-77-78) and tied for 19th at the Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational (80-77). Finished the fall season strong with a T-27 finish at Rollins’ Ross Resorts Invitational Mid Pines (81-77-76). In the spring, championship season, posted six top-20 finishes, including two top-10’s and a top-five. Tied for sixth and was a catalyst to the Tars big victory at the Dr. Donnis Invitational and came back to the mainland to finish 11th at the Georgetown Invitational in Rollins’ next event. Took 20th at the SSC Championships and followed with the best tournament of the year, tying for fourth at the NCAA Super Regional, shooting rounds of 73-76-73. Tied for 30th at the National Championships, carding scores of 79-77-76-80. Earned a spot on the NGCA All-South Region Team. 

2008-09: Played in every tournament for the Tars, compiling a 78.09 stroke average in 31 rounds. Earned four top-10 finishes and a pair of top-5’s. Was in a three-way tie for the lead after 54 holes of the Sunshine State Conference Championship to force a playoff that was won by teammate Joanna Coe; finished tied for second place. Started the NCAA South Region Tournament with a season best round of 72 en route to an eighth place finish. Also tied for 25th at the NCAA National Championship. Earns spots on the Rollins Athletic Directors Honor Roll and SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Named an NGCA All-American Scholar.

2007-08: Saw action in six tournaments for the Tars, playing 16 rounds and posting a 79.56 stroke average. Finished a season’s best T13 at the Yale Women’s Intercollegiate. Shot a low round of 77 in the second round of the Ross Resorts Invitational-Mid Pines. Turned in best tournament score of 232 at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational and finished T19. Named NGCA Academic All-America.

High School: Earned 2007 high school Player of the Year honors at Saddlebrook. Led her high school team to state runner-up finishes in 2006 and 2007 – team finished runner-up in 2005 state championship. Also an excellent student, earned Algebra and Economic honors. Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: born 1/24/1988...parents Jae Young Seo and Kyungsuk Lim...enjoys listening to music, playing the piano, watching movies and yoga. Lists Pride & Prejudice as her favorie book and Love Actually as her favorite movie. Enjoys dark chocolate and her mom has been the biggest influence on her life. After college she would like to be a professional golfer or golf instructor.
