Blair Wagner joined the Rollins Softball Staff in the Fall of 2018 as Director of Strength & Conditioning. Wagner relocated to Central Florida from California to open DIA Sports Performance in Longwood, Florida. Wagner founded DIA Sports Performance in March of 2018.Â
Wagner is a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming and 2003 graduate of Cheyenne East High School. Wagner attended the University of Wyoming where he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health Promotion in 2007. While at the University of Wyoming, Wagner worked with the football and strength and conditioning programs.
After completing his undergrad, Wagner spent a short time as a volunteer strength coach at the University of Nebraska Kearney.
Wagner moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 2007 to pursue his career in Strength & Conditioning. After a brief stop at The College of Charleston, Wagner transferred a few short miles across Charleston and completed his Master's Degree in Health, Exercise and Sport Science at The Citadel Graduate College. While there, he worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for The Citadel serving Men's Basketball, Wrestling, and aiding as top assistant to football under the direction of Donnell Boucher.Â
In 2010, Wagner became the assistant coach of sports performance at Eastern Michigan University. In 2011, he was elevated to Director of Sports and Performance, at age 25. In December of 2013, Wagner relocated to the Pacific Northwest and spent nine months serving as a human performance specialist for the United States Army's Green Beret 1st Special Forces Group in Tacoma, Washington.
Wagner returned to collegiate athletics in 2015 and spent three seasons as the assistant coach of strength and conditioning at the University of Washington, overseeing softball, men's rowing, women's tennis, track and field (throwers), and volleyball.
During his time in Seattle, Wagner had the honor of serving as Director of Strength and Conditioning for the WNBA's Seattle Storm during the 2016 season.
In February 2017, Wagner became the assistant coach of strength and conditioning for the Los Angeles Rams. During his season with the Rams, they won the NFC West.
Wagner holds certifications from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Weightlifting, National Academy of Sports Medicine, Precision Nutrition, International Youth and Conditioning Association, and EXOS Performance Coach Certification.
Wagner authored a chapter in the International Youth Conditioning Association's book "Principles of Athletic Strength and Conditioning" called "In Season Training Considerations." He has presented on a number of topics at the state and regional level, along with being a contributor to TeamBuildr's coaches blog.Â
