Fall 2011: Posted the most successful fall season in Rollins College history, winning South Region, National and Super Bowl titles...started the year at the Embry-Riddle Invitational, going unbeaten in both singles and doubles before the event was halted due to weather; also was undefeated at the C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational before the event was washed out...Won the Wilson/ITA South Region Championship as the No. 2 seed, defeating four seeded players along the way. In the final, beat the 2011 Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year and ITA National Player to Watch from Lynn. At the ITA Small College Championship, cruised to the Division II title with a 6-0, 6-2 title match victory over Daniele Piludu form Concordia, NY, becoming just the second player in Rollins history to capture the Division II championship. Became the first Tar to ever win the "Super Bowl," defeating defeated Embry-Riddle''s Chris Freeman 6-3, 6-1. Advanced to the collegiate Indoor Championships, falling in the first two rounds.
2010-11 (USF): Named BIG EAST Co-Player of the Year after finishing the season with a four-match win streak ... Played 22 of 23 matches at the No. 1 position for the Bulls ... Compiled an overall record of 14-7 in dual match play and ended his season ranked No. 76 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association; was ranked as high as No. 27 in singles and No. 15 in doubles ... Played with Sebastian Hagn and Jamal Adderley in doubles play, totaling a 14-7 record ... Posted a 5-1 record during fall singles play and a 2-1 record during doubles play ... Finished his season with three-straight wins in the BIG EAST tournament, dropping only five games over six sets.
2009-10 (USF): Sat out the entire 2010 season due to a shoulder injury.
2008-09 (USF): Jovita played 20 of the Bulls 22 dual matches this season... Played each match in the No. 1 singles, compiling a 10-6 singles in dual matches and 25-11 overall... A fixture in both the Campbell''s/ITA Singles and doubles rankings... Teamed with rising senior Thomas Estrada to form a highly ranked doubles tandem that was ranked as high as 15th in the country... In singles, he began the season ranked No. 27 in the country... Entered the fall ranked No. 50 in the ITA Rankings and then made a jump to No. 27 to begin the spring season... For the second consecutive season Jovita was an All-BIG EAST Selection... Joined teammate Wael Kilani in being one of four players to be 2009 unanimous selections... Earned the honors by going 2-0 tallying wins in USF''s win over DePaul and St. John''s en route to the Bulls'' first BIG EAST title... Ended the season on a three match winning streak ... Went 3-4 against ranked opposition, with wins over No. 96 Jay Goldmam of Arizona, No. 119 Nejc Podkrajsek of Georgia State and No. 77 Marc Abdelnour of FAU ... Off his six losses only one was in straight sets... In doubles competition, Jovita teamed up with Thomas Estrada to go 9-8 in the No. 1 doubles position ... Defeated three ranked opponents en route to advanced to the semifinals of the Main Consolation Singles draw of the 2008 D''Novo/ ITA Men''s All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla,... Lost to No. 84 Mathieu Thibaudeau in the finals of the 2008 Crimson Tide Fall Championships
2007-08 (USF): Went 19-6 overall, while playing in both the No. 1 and No. 2...Moved to the No. 1 Position after the injury to Mahmoud Hamed, where he went 12-2... went 4-2 against ranked opponents... in first collegiate match registered a two set win over #62 Christoph Muller from Rice... Finished the season ranked #87 in the ITA Rankings... Win over No. 43 Austen Child''s from Louisville helped place the Bulls in the BIG EAST Finals... was ranked as high a No. 67 in the ITA Rankings
High School/ Juniors: Graduated in 2007 from Colegio Educational Futura in Brazil where he was ranked in the top three U-16 and ranked No. 1 in Goias for five consecutive years ... Lived in Spain for three years and trained in Feperacion Catalana De Tennis ... Competed in the finals at the Interstate Championship with former teammate William Sousa.
