Biography

 

Hard working and smart central midfielder...has one of the best shots on the team and is very dangerous on set pieces. A possession player that is key to the Tars'' attack.

2010: Started 19 of the 22 games he appeared in, while logging over 1200 minutes in the midfield...tallied one goal and three assists to help fuel the offense...regarded as an exceptional on the ball defender.

2009: Started 11 games out of the 21 games he appeared in...tallied one assist against Carthage (09/01/09)...logged 1,187 minutes from the midfield and backline positions and tallied

2008: Appeared in 14 games for the Tars as a strong backline and midfield player...assisted on the game winning goal against Florida Tech (10/01/09).

2007: Redshirt.

High School: Lettered four times for Lake Howell High School ... named to the FACA East Florida team and earned a spot on the second team All-Conference ... led the defense to a new school record for shutouts ... made the high school final four in 2005 and was a regional finalist in 2007 ... was a Silver Scholar and made the Principal''s Honor Roll all four years.

Personal: son of Iraj and Cheryl Maleknia ... majoring in Chemistry...brother Sean is also a member of the team.
