Originally from Chorley, England, Richard started his role as a graduate assistant for the Tars' Men's Soccer team ahead of the 2020 campaign.

Richard played collegiate soccer at the University of Buffalo, before transfering to Sunshine State Conference institution Eckerd for his final three years.  In his first season in Buffalo he started 12 games for the Bulls.  During his seasons in St. Petersburg Richard appeared in 44 games, makinng 36 starts for the Tritons, he scored 12 goals and tallied nine assists, while serving as a team captain twice.  He was named Second Team All-SSC and Second Team All-Region in 2015.  Richard graduated from Eckerd with a degree in business management and a minor in psychology.

After grduation Richard returned to Europe and played professional soccer.

Richard has returned to the United States to pursue a Master's Degree in Human Resources from the Holt School.
