Prior to Rollins (George Washington):  Played three seasons at George Washington before going down with an injury...saw the most action his junior year as he appeared in 34 games and started 30 behind the dish...as a junior, hit .202 on the season and successfully stole four of five bags and drew 13 walks...during his sophomore campaign, Cooper posted a .419 on-base percentage and drove in 11 runs...in his first season with the Colonels, he played in 24 games and started two, while recording five hits (one double) and five RBIs in 24 at-bats.

High School:  Played for Joe Schourek, father of former major leaguer Pete Schourek ... hit .320 his junior year and was named All-Conference Honorable Mention ... senior year, batted .405 and was named Washington Catholic Athletic All-Conference ... also recognized as one of Washington DC''s Top Baseball Players by School Sports Magazine ... member of the National and Spanish Honor Society and graduated in the top-20 percent of his class ... played club baseball for the Virginia Senators from 2002-2006 and the Virginia Barnstormers from 2005-2006.
