2013 (RSenior): Smith had a stellar senior season as he led the team with a 2.94 ERA, which was seventh best in the Sunshine State Conference...he finished with a record of 7-4 in 98.0 innings pitched, which led the SSC, in 15 appearances including 13 starts and one complete game...he led the SSC and the Tars pitching staff with 107 strikeouts, which also ranked third in the country...Smith only allowed 29 walks while holding opponents to a .223 average...the right-hander ranks 11th in the career record books in ERA and 18th in strikeouts...named All-SSC Second Team...recorded four games in double-figure strikeouts, including a career-best 12 against Assumption (3/8)...other games with double-figure strikeouts include 11 vs. Bentley (2/16), 10 vs. Eckerd (3/29) and 10 vs. Nova Southeastern (5/4)...against Felician (3/2) during the 65th Annual Baseball Week event, threw eight innings of one-hit, scoreless baseball and struck out eight...against West Florida (2/9) tossed six innings of two-hit, scoreless baseball.
2012 (RJunior): Smith was integral part of the Tars pitching staff as he finished the season with a team-best 2.43 ERA in 11 appearances - all starts...posted a 3-2 record with a combined shutout in 66.2 innings of work...led the team with 58 strikeouts and held opponents to a .193 batting average, which was a team-best...recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts against Saint Anselm (2/25) in 5.0 innings of work, allowing just one earned run...tallied 16 strikeouts in his first two appearances against West Alabama (2/4) and West Florida (2/11)...pitched a career-high 8.0 innings against UWA (2/4) and Bentley (2/17)...ranked second in the SSC in opposing batting average, sixth in ERA, ninth in strikeouts and tied for 15th in innings pitched...nationally, ranked 26th in hits allowed per nine innings (6.34), 88th in ERA and 155th in strikeouts per nine innings (7.83).
2011 (Junior): Had season shortened due to injury...made four starts for the Tars, compiling a 1-1 mark and a 4.43 ERA...tossed 20 1/3 innings, striking out 18 and walked 14...threw a career-high six innings against Florida Tech (2/26) in his final appearance of the season...fanned a career-best six batters twice against Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras (2/12) and Bentley (2/20)...earned a medical hardship.
2010 (Sophomore): Finished the year with a 2.86 ERA with a 4-0 record in 14 appearances and one start…logged 22 innings, combined for two shutouts and picked up two saves…did not allow a run in his first five appearances…made first career start against Eckerd (4/17/10) and earned the no decision…earned first save of the season and second of his career against Flagler (4/6/10) after throwing a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts…earned another save against Palm Beach Atlantic (4/30/10) after throwing a perfect ninth inning…recorded a career-high four strikeouts against Puerto Rico-Bayamon (3/2/10)…had a streak in the middle of the season where he pitched 10 consecutive scoreless innings over seven appearances.
2009 (Freshman): Made 10 relief appearances for the Tars and finished with a 4.41 ERA with one save…pitched 16.1 innings and allowed eight earned runs…earned first career save against Penn (3/14/09) after tossing three innings of shutout baseball and allowed just two walks and a pair of hits...seven of the ten appearances ended with shutout efforts…spectacular in his final appearance against Eckerd (4/25/09) pitched 2.0 innings without allowing a hit…finished with 12 strikeouts.
High School: Led the McCallie Blue Tornado to the state finals as a junior...named to the Region3-4 Worth Showcase Team his junior year and was selected to the all-city second-team...held an 8-1 record with a 1.73 ERA as a senior...pitched three no hitters (May, 7,2007/June 28,2007 and Mary 1,2008)...also lettered in bowling his junior and senior year.
