Biography

2010 (Junior):  Finished junior year with a .316 batting average in 52 starts…hit a career-best 11 home runs, 34 RBIs and 11 doubles…had 16 multi-hit performances with eight multi-RBI games…had an offensive explosion during the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament after hitting 14-for-19 with four doubles, two home runs and six RBIs…recorded ten consecutive base hits during the tournament and was named to the NCAA Division II South Region All-Tournament team…tied a career-best when he recorded four RBIs versus Bentley (2/14/10)…went 4-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBIs and home run against Valdosta State (5/16/10).

2009 (Sophomore): 
 Ended with a .348 batting average with 22 starts and 32 games played…tied for third on the team in home runs with four…registered 19 RBIs…reached the four-hit plateau twice…against Bentley (2/15/09) went 2-for-6 with a double and a home run to finish with a career-best four RBIs…had back-to-back games of three RBIs against, Eckerd (4/24/09, 4/25/09) with a home run in each of the games...finished with eight multi-hit games and five multi-RBI performances…primarily used as a pinch hitter, earned a starting outfield job toward the end of the season.

2008 (Redshirt): Medical redshirt.

2007 (Freshman): Worked his way into the lineup and carried the team offensively toward the end of the season, appearing in 37 games and starting 27 at the outfield corners and designated hitter ... had one of the best freshman seasons for a Rollins player in recent history, hitting .404 (.466 on-base percentage / .558 slugging percentage) with seven doubles, three homeruns, 17 runs, and 19 RBI ... led the team in average, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage ... one of only six players in the Sunshine State Conference with at least 100 at bats to hit over .400 ... hit .458 with runners in scoring position ... notched 12 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games ... put together an 11-game hitting streak from 3/31/07 to 4/22/07 and saw his average improve from .214 to .406 ... hit a walk-off homerun and batted 4-5 with a double, homerun, one run, and two RBI in Rollins’ 7-6 come-from-behind victory over Nova Southeastern on 4/22/07.

High School: Earned letters in baseball and football, including three in baseball where he played outfield for Lake Howell High School ... hit .348 his senior year with 12 doubles, two triples, two homeruns, and 14 stolen bases ... named first team All-Conference ... led his team to the District Championship in 2004 and 2006 ... member of the honor roll.

Personal: Born on November 24, 1987 ... son of Jeff and Leigh Chase ... undecided on a major, but considering a career in professional baseball as well as medical school.
