2016 (Senior): The opening day starter for the Tars finished the year with 13 appearances and five starts on the mound… registered 1 3-2 record, and struck out 39 in 35.2 innings… pitched 7.2 innings, giving up just one run on four hits, striking out seven, on February 2 in a 5-1 win over Young Harris
2015 (Junior): In his third season at Rollins, Sakany started two games and appeared in 8 games...logged 13.2 innings and allowed 16 earned runs with a 10.54 ERA......Spring Athletic Director''s Honor Roll.
2014 (Sophomore): Sakany earned a starting spot in the rotation as he appeared in 10 games, starting nine…logged 35.1 innings and notched a 1-4 record with a 5.60 ERA…registered 32 strikeouts with 32 walks, while holding opponents to a .210 average…matched a career-high seven strikeouts on two occasions – Sciences (3/3) and Barry (3/29)…against the Sciences, worked 6.0 innings on the mound and scattered two hits, while not allowing a run to score to pick up his only win of the season…in a 1.0 inning outing against Stonehill (3/11), did not allow a hit, walk or run.
2013 (Freshman): In his first season at Rollins, Sakany split roles on the field and on the mound - appeared in five games as a position player and 12 as a pitcher...on the field, registered a career-best four at-bats against Saint Anselm (3/9) during Baseball Week...found his way into the starting rotation, earning five starts on the season...tossed 21.2 innings with 11 strikeouts and an 0-2 record...finished the year with a 7.48 ERA with a career-best four strikeouts against Nova Southeastern (5/4)...best outing his freshman year was in first start against Florida Tech (4/13) where he went 4.2 innings and did not allow a run on four hits.
High School: Sakany attended The Beacon School...played shortstop and third base for the Blue Demons...helped lead the Blue Demons to four straight division titles...named an All-City Second Team and All-Manhattan First Team selection...selected for the Mayor''s Cup All-Star Game during his senior year...played for the NY Gothams.
